An Open letter from a Lone Member of The Peoples Army of America,
No faith at all have I anymore, if ever, in the Federal Government ofAmerica. It robs all, to kill many, to profit a few, at the expense of everything. Ruthless, blind, foaming at the mouth, it lashes out, spreading its sickness, through deeply infected wounds.
I fear it is too far gone, this sick puppy. With tears in my eyes, in my heart, I pull the trigger on my own inaction. Due to our own neglect, it serves no more. Hegel said two centuries ago, "Every people deserve their government," but does the rest of the world?
Naked we are born Americans, perhaps with not even a mother's love, but with a Constitution, and rights not to be trifled with by man, but rather ordained by God (see Constitution).
We are at war, and not by our choice. Bush declared America a battlefield. We will win this one, for very simple reasons. Our Army raises only the arms of a clenched fist, and a helping hand. Truth, and the Universal Understanding of Human Rights, are our weapon and shield. Our Solidarity, our Strength. We would put ourselves on the line to protect even those who seek to oppress us.
We are many, from all walks of life, for whom a mere letter to our Congress man, or waving a peace flag, are not enough anymore. As we watch our nation destroy others as it destroys itself, we know now, we must do more, and are.
Rise up. Don't believe the bullshit. Security is not needing a bigger gun. If we don't make others unsafe, they wont come to make us unsafe. As much as I love the land I live in, I can only imagine, if I was from Iraq orAfghanistan, or countless other places, how upset I would be at who ever made war against me.
Business as Usual is not enough any more. Now it is a race against time. Protest only served to bring us together, other than that, it might as well have been sponsored by Exxon.
So if you care, pay attention, educate yourself and rise up with one common theme, "Human Rights." We have nothing to fear but our own inaction. Fear not our Army nor joining it. Our Generals are the likes of Martin Luther King Jr., Gandhi, and countless others that saw that non-violence is not passive. One must actively oppose violence.
This is the call you have been waiting for. Commit that not for one moremoment will you be complacent nor complicit in in taking away the rights of others. The world waits with baited breath for the American People, to stand up.
Caring alone is not helpful, but complicit; action is needed. Look around. Even your own safety is in peril. *Your* life is on the line. Let's tip the scale in everyone's favor.
It is up to us now. Join us.
